Renegade Marines

The Venal Swords - Power-armoured Renegades

Commander Venate von Harme, ex-Rogue Trader. Infamous from his guerilla days in the Becket VII system, where his depredations led to the total destruction of all six of the Emerald Lion Noble House Knights.
Ezeneleus Krieder, trained by a Thousand Sons Sorceror in the ways of the warp. He killed his master and donned his mantle before joining von Harme's band. There is a suspicion that he still makes report to the Eye of Terror, wittingly or not - Ahriman's ways are subtle.

Dacket Orimarr, Colour Sergeant of the 341st Tyrian Infantry. Wanted in three systems for murder, formenting heresy and lewd behaviour.

Kejed 'Orinocco' Bates, only survivor of the Welsel Colony Mining Disaster. Rumoured to have survived in the collapsed tunnels by eating the rest of his crew.

Lt. Grind. Age, origin and species all unknown.

Holoman Fern, dishonorably discharged from the Adeptus Arbites for use of excessive violence during a Hive uprising on Jirus's World.

Brother Codian Joon, renegade Adeptus Astartes. A traitor and pirate nearly three centuries old.

##redacted##

Panderax Gauw, chief procurer and slavemaster during the Danchu Kidnappings. An entire colony was taken and sold during his despicable raids.

Mr N J Pelesep, rogue nanosurgeon and gene-heretic. Famous for his use of captured Ultramarine power armour assets, and believed to have altered his own geneseed using material stolen from that chapter.

Brother Captain Ulufaas Trode, double agent and defector from the already heretical Astral Claws chapter. No single betrayal has ever been enough for him.

CLXII, a mindwiped servitor given new purpose after the successful transplant of a new brain. Mr Pelesep sometimes refers to him as 'the galaxy's smallest dreadnaught'.

Boomer Campbell. Made a killing pushing neobinnoids on neophytes of his own chapter. Exiled M40.388.

Radrax Archais, second Commandante of the infamous Belligris Tigers after their succession from the Imperium. Missing in action and presumed dead after triggering the Tochaer Dam collapse.

Seljuus the Arch, Ducal Prophet and Seer to the Turkhaan of Karg. His self-interested foretellings set the horrific events of the Karg Rebellion in motion, leading to Exterminatus being declared on no less than three worlds.

Bomani Chataluka. Son of a noble on Necromunda, he stole and modified his Spire suit after passing a hunting rite and fled off-world.

Sometimes, a Crypt Angel brought back by the Casket of Dust goes insane, broken by memories of his death. Jaraud Underau is one such.
Calahir Drooze, Veteran Assault Marine of the Silver Sabres 4th Company. Their Chapter Master, Abrahorn Grale, attacked Space Wolf assets bordering their own nearby home worlds with predictable results. Drooze still hopes for vengeance against the Imperial war dogs.

Persevyl Vang. Clad in his impeccable Cataphractii pattern Terminator armour, Vang fights alongside the other Venal Swords unaware of the heresy he commits by doing so. A dupe of  van Harme, Vang believes he serves an Inquisitorial cell to combat the enemy within.

Aussius Carley, the much-feared Clay Fox of Billrichter Station. Responsible for the catastrophic airlock breaches that scuttled the passenger freighter 'Unrelenting Duty' with the loss of all hands during Waargh Gromarg in M40

Panzarius Tredd, bootlicker and lackey for darker powers than he realises.
Raidin' Lord Powell's Insertion Team. Freelance saboteurs and clearance experts, these Infil-traitors command a high price for their lethal services.

Powell himself often provides fire support for the more intense missions.

Nobody beats Gustaphor Preix in a fair race, because he would never race in one.

Oog. Better not to ask.

Wargear

The Venal Swords keep an extensive (and expensive) garage of vehicles, providing transport and firepower for any task.

A rare and vintage Guncutter, the Omnissian VII, takes von Harme to wherever he needs to be. The capricious machine spirit of the flyer ensures he always arrives at the height of dramatic tension.

To be entombed in a Venal Swords dreadnought is the highest honour the renegades can give a fallen foe. Ingenious FoF cheats keeps the occupant cleverly slaved, another of Mr Pelesep's neurosurgical inventions.

If you have a problem
If no-one else can help
Then they're probably your problem
